New twist in asbestos payout battle
A High Court decision that found company insurers should pay out to those who contracted fatal illnesses due to asbestos exposure has been overturned by the Court of Appeal.
In 2008, the High Court found that employers' insurers at the time of the exposure in the workplace were liable to pay out on claims for mesothelioma. The verdict was hailed as a 'victory' for victims at the time. ....
